  • work and heat

    It's hot outside...

Eric is Indiana at the National Student Conference, he's hanging out with really cool people all week, taking classes on evangelism, mentoring, discipliship etc. He's really learning and a lot and I'm so glad for him. I miss him though. Work is going really well, I'm meeting a lot of new people and learning a lot about the area. Razorback football starts in 22 days...

    I miss Eric....

  • we're home

Well, we finally made it home...which we're now calling Fayetteville, AR. We're really excited, a new apartment and new jobs that are starting soon. Eric starts school and teaching on the 13th and I start with the local radio station on the 1st.

We also have a praise! We feel at home with a body of believers, Christ on Campus, it's a great campus ministry and we're so excited to be able to serve the Lord through this ministry. Our prayers have been answered! Praise God!

  • Glacier National Park

Let me just say that God is good...His creation speaks of His majesty in many ways. One example is the scenery at Glacier....awe inspiring. Eric and I were driving the "Going on the sun" road, you look over the side of the car and you feel as if it's going to topple down the cliff. Very curvy, and scary but worth the fear because the mountains were majestic.

We decided to go backpacking while we were in the park, so we got our backcountry permit,we were given instructions on how to handle bears and other wildlife and we were off for a 2 day hike. Here's the catch...we weren't prepared for 55 degree weather at night...and we froze our fanny's! It was cold. Needless to say, we only made it one night of backpacking...but it was worth it...being out in nature enjoying God's creation.

When we got back into Kallispell, we got a really nice hotel room and then we enjoyed the down comforter/pillows and the pool. Yeah for roughing it....and Yeah for sleeping in a soft bed!

  • trip

Eric and I are going on our very first cross country road trip. We're driving from Milan, MO to Sandpoint, ID to see his grandparents. We're going to do some sightseeing along the way too...as long as we don't kill eachother. This trip will be the TRUE test of our marriage....God will be chuckling at us I'm sure, because hopefully, we'll grow stronger through this trial. Hee hee!

We feel that if our marriage lasts this trip...than we can stand through anything. Ha ha! Please pray for our safety, and for our hearts that we enjoy each other.

In two weeks, when we're done travelling will be moving to Fayetteville, AR because Eric starts graduate school! Woohoo! GO HOGS!

  • friend

I had a wonderful day yesterday because I got to hear the voice of a wonderful friend! We talked about walkers, (green tennis balls for better movement), wheelchairs (especially barbie), and most importantly life. It's great to have a bond that is beyond ourselves, because through Christ we are still sisters and brothers. Isn't that a wonderful thought? God is good, and iron sharpens iron...and I love to giggle with my girlfriends! Thank you Lauren, I look forward to more talks with you!
